Version 1.1 released!

The first update for Hubert’s Island Adventure: Mouse o’ War has been released!

Aside from some boring under-the-hood stuff, this adds a few cool things. First, the game now defaults to saving all user data (save games, settings, etc.) in a nice user-editable place (My Documents), instead of in the game’s install folder. You can still tell it to save there though, if you want (it’s what I prefer).
I’ve also added a large number of secrets to the game. There are now many more hidden nooks and crannies with bits of treasure stocked within. There are some larger secrets, too, like new secret exits, some riddles leading to secret treasure hordes, and more! Can you find everything?

Use those buttons at the top of this page to grab the demo, or purchase a copy for $9.99 right now!

You should be able to simply install the new version over the old version if you are updating.
However, for maximum chance of things not exploding, just do a clean install. That is always the best way to go.

Here is the full changelog for 1.1:

– Fixed a static linking problem. Well, a potential problem, anyway.
– Updated libraries.
– Tweaked starting options.
– Added save_location.cfg. Defaults to a user-editable area. See readme.txt for more information.
– Harmless sea life is no longer multiplied on higher difficulties.
– Added tons of FUN!
